What is CHISPA

CHISPA ( Computer Human Interaction SPAin) is the local representation of the Special Interest Group in Computer Human Interaction (SIGCHI) of ACM in Spain. It is the first special interest group with local representation in our country. It has been created under the initiative of a group of professionals who are interested in Computer Human Interaction, and it was initially coordinated by the group on Object Oriented Technologies of the University of Oviedo.

How to become a member of CHISPA

The conditions that must be accomplished in order to be a member of CHISPA are the following:

a) You must be a member of ACM (student members are accepted)

b) You must send a message to any member of the CHISPA Board expressing your interest to become a member of the group, including the following information:

o     Member number of ACM

o     Name and organization

o     E-mail address

o     Web page address (in case you want to have a link included from here)

Activities

 

Year 2000

·         March. Development and approval of Bylaws. CHISPA's birth.

·         June (19-20) .Presentation of CHISPA by its Board at the  First Working days on Computer Human Interaction held at the University of Granada.

  • November (15). Presentation of CHISPA at the University of Oviedo

 

  Year 2001

·         May. Colaboration with AIPO in organizing the II Congress on Human Computer Interaction that took place in Salamanca.

 

  Year 2002

·         February. Colaboration in organizing the course “Introduction to Development to Java Applications with WIMP User Interface“ that will take place in Oviedo (02/18/2002-03/01/2002).

·         March. Colaboration in organizing the course  “New Advances in Web Engineering” that will take place in Oviedo (03/04/2002-03/15/2002).

·         March. Colaboration in organizing the course “Information Representation on the Web: Hypertext, XML and Semantic Web“ that will take place in Oviedo (03/18/2002-03/27/2002).

·         May. Colaboration with AIPO in organizing the III Congress on Human Computer Interaction that will take place in Madrid - Carlos III University.

·         July. Colaboration in organizing the course  “Building Applets over the Java Platform” that will take place in Oviedo (08/07/2002-12/07/2002).

·         July. Colaboration in organizing the course  “NET. Platform and Web Services”. that will take place in Oviedo (15/07/2002-19/07/2002).

·         July. Colaboration in organizing the course  “XML technologies for Knowledge Organization in Internet” that will take place in Oviedo (22/07/2002-26/07/2002).

. Year 2003

·         March Colaboration in organizing the course “HCI in Web Engineering” that took place in Gijón (27/03/2003-09/04/2003).

·         June. Colaboration with AIPO in organizing the  IV Congress on Human Computer Interaction . Vigo (June, 11-13).

·         July. Colaboration in organizing the  Third International Conference on Web Engineering. Oviedo (July, 14-18)

·         November. Colaboration in organizing the course “HCI Technologies in Computing Engineering Projects” that took place in Oviedo (14/11/2003-05/12/2003).
